Paper Cutting Workshop
Jess Richter will be leading a paper cutting workshop where participants will explore German paper cutting (scherenschnitte). German paper cutting, a folk art traditionally practiced by women, engages with the silhouette, symmetry, and nature to create harmonious narrative images. Jess will help students design and cut their own pieces, sharing her own contemporary process that takes inspiration from this folk tradition to create meaningful narrative images that explore familial mourning and ritual. Limited space, registration required.
