Paganini & Friends

Saturday, May 9th

The 19th century’s premiere violinist was also a brilliant guitarist and composer for the guitar! Join us for this celebration of Niccolò Paganini’s music as it relates to our beautiful instrument. Part of the Paganini Festival, a three-day event, May 8-10, presented by the Edmonton Classical Guitar Society and Early Music Alberta.

The May 9 guitar society concert features special guest from Italy, Eugenio della Chiara (guitar), Svitlana Remniakova (violin), Victoria Grynenko (violin), Marek Orzulik (guitar), Valentina Benvenuti (guitar), Kasia Saturna (cello) and Renee Perez (guitar). Come early for a pre-concert talk by early music specialist Lucas Harris. Information on the May 8 Early Music Alberta concert can be found on their website at earlymusicalberta.ca.
