Over The Moon

Sunday, March 22nd

Dear Roots Music Friends,
The 31st annual Folk-Roots-Blues music series at GPLT will continue Sunday, March 22, 7:30 pm with Over The Moon (Trio).
For Tickets and Information call the GPLT Box Office at 780-538-1616 or visit: WWW.GPLT.CA (On-Line Tickets are available).
Alberta’s JUNO Award-nominated, Over The Moon, are totally immersed in real cowboy country. When you set up home in the foothills of Alberta’s Rocky Mountains, it’s inevitable there will be a strong sense of place and the rhythms of the land when you start to play music. Their music is a wild ride from 40s western swing and Appalachian old-time, to cowboy blues, all featuring their meant-to-be vocals and a wide array of acoustic instruments.
Suzanne Levesque and Craig Bignell are award-winning, multi-instrumentalists and vocalists that have spent most of their lives as studio and live performance musicians for other artists. After discovering their near perfect blend of voices, often moving people to tears upon hearing them sing together, they decided to try their own project and Over the Moon was born. Simple and sweet, their music and lyrics have a common thread that speaks of the Canadian west.
See you at the show,
Franz

———————————————————————————-

The CKUA Events Calendar is a listing of music, arts, and culture happenings for the whole province. It is a terrific resource that CKUA offers to the community, to share details about concerts, gallery openings, plays, and films.

Please note that due to the amount of listings, we publish events that focus on music, arts, or culture. While we'd love to publish all submitted items, the sheer number of events means that we sometimes have to decline submissions.

Need to change or update your submitted event?

Email details to feedback@ckua.com and the CKUA team of calendar volunteers will do the rest.
