Of the Earth

Sunday, March 3rd

Of the Earth is a musical journey celebrating our profound connection to our planet. As we revel in the Earth as our sacred abode, we’re transported to a realm where melodies mirror the world’s awakening. Hear delicate birdsong, witness wind through the trees, enjoy the crunch of fallen leaves and feel the icy chill of a gentle snowfall. At its centre is Christopher Tin’s elegiac work “The Lost Birds”. A sweeping romantic, Brahmsian affair, it evokes the grandeur of a murmuration of starlings. Of the Earth invites you to witness nature’s miraculous rebirth through music, forging a deeper connection to our planet’s heartbeat and finding solace in the awe-inspiring beauty of the natural world. Don’t miss this extraordinary journey into the heart of our planet’s splendour.
Spiritus Chamber Choir, Calgary’s award-winning chamber choir, is committed to providing high-quality concerts to choral music lovers in Calgary and its surroundings. Our members are accomplished performers who delight in sharing their love for music and the art of singing. The choir sings in a wide array of musical styles, from Renaissance motets to full-fledged choral-orchestral masterworks.

The CKUA Events Calendar is a listing of music, arts, and culture happenings for the whole province. It is a terrific resource that CKUA offers to the community, to share details about concerts, gallery openings, plays, and films.

Please note that due to the amount of listings, we publish events that focus on music, arts, or culture. While we’d love to publish all submitted items, the sheer number of events means that we sometimes have to decline submissions.

Need to change or update your submitted event?

Email details to and the CKUA team of calendar volunteers will do the rest.
