Ninth Avenue Band

Hello Big Band Fans!

We are very much looking forward to our upcoming show at the Ironwood Stage & Grill on March 28th! We have Tina Hartt back with us on vocals – we are so delighted!!!!

Tina will be singing some incredible tunes such as ‘Can’t Buy Me Love’, ‘A Foggy Day’, ‘It Don’t Mean A Thing If It Ain’t Got That Swing’ and Peggy Lee’s version of ‘Basin Street Blues’ – just sublime!

The band’s incredible selections include two tunes from the library of Charles Mingus ‘Better Git Hit In Your Soul’ and ‘Haitian Fight Song ‘ featuring Jeremy Coates on bass; two wonderful arrangements by Sammy Nestico: ‘Stardust’ featuring Jon Mossing on trumpet and ‘Magic Flea’ featuring a sax battle between Jim Brenan, Keith O’Rourke and Sean Craig. If that isn’t enough there is ‘Sounds Around the House’ a beautiful standard arranged by Jim Brenan, featuring Rich Harding on alto!

This is going to be a stellar show – the band is absolutely cookin’!!!!
