National Indigenous History Month: Opening Ceremony

National Indigenous History Month is celebrated at Calgary Public Library from June 1 – 30.
This year, the theme is “Indigenous Joy,” and you can join the celebrations that include a round dance, Métis jigging, singing, film screenings, and hoop dancing. There’s a panel on indigenous joy. You can also attend a “lunch and learn” about powwows, with drummers and dancers.
