Music in the Forest

Thursday, June 26th

An intimate show in the beautiful natural surroundings of Crimson Lake Provincial Park, Lindsey Walker joins to perform in the Music in the Forest Concert Series for 2025 kicking off the season.

A biographical snapshot of Lindsey Walker:

Lindsey Walker’s atmospheric indie-roots sound is ever evolving. She draws upon the sonic inspiration of Heart, Jeff Buckley and Brandi Carlile, and pairs with her heartfelt lyrics to take listeners on a journey with her live shows. Captivating, hilarious and heartfelt, Lindsey’s live performances invite audiences on a memorable journey through the ups and downs of life. Lindsey has received the Edmonton Artist’s Trust Fund (2022), The Westbury Family Prize (2021), was shortlisted for the 2019 Edmonton Music Prize, won “Indie Rock Recording of the Year” from Edmonton Music Awards (2018), and was voted Best of Edmonton Solo Artist by Vue Weekly (2017). Find Lindsey wandering in the night hunting all that dares to glimmer.

———————————————————————————-

The CKUA Events Calendar is a listing of music, arts, and culture happenings for the whole province. It is a terrific resource that CKUA offers to the community, to share details about concerts, gallery openings, plays, and films.

Please note that due to the amount of listings, we publish events that focus on music, arts, or culture. While we'd love to publish all submitted items, the sheer number of events means that we sometimes have to decline submissions.

Need to change or update your submitted event?

Email details to feedback@ckua.com and the CKUA team of calendar volunteers will do the rest.
