Movie on the Rise

Wednesday, August 20th

Join us underneath the stars for a double screening of Shrek and The Mummy. Watch the sunset over the city and take in an outdoor movie experience like no other.

Movie on The Rise at St. Patrick’s Island is a one-of-a-kind experience in the heart of the city. Watch the sunset over the city and the Bow and experience outdoor cinema on a 9-metre-high natural amphitheater at the center of the island.

Event Start: 5:30pm

Movies and showtimes:

  • Shrek | 6:30pm – The fairy tale classic with layers. Watch everyone’s favourite ogre on a wild adventure packed with laughs, heart, and the most quotable moments in animation history.
  • The Mummy | 9pm – A cinematic treasure full of ancient curses, desert chases, and peak ’90s action. Brendan Fraser, we ride at dawn.

What to Bring:

  • Friends + Dogs + Family + Neighbours

———————————————————————————-

The CKUA Events Calendar is a listing of music, arts, and culture happenings for the whole province. It is a terrific resource that CKUA offers to the community, to share details about concerts, gallery openings, plays, and films.

Please note that due to the amount of listings, we publish events that focus on music, arts, or culture. While we'd love to publish all submitted items, the sheer number of events means that we sometimes have to decline submissions.

Need to change or update your submitted event?

Email details to feedback@ckua.com and the CKUA team of calendar volunteers will do the rest.
