Moulettes

Tuesday, February 18th

Moulettes are an English eclectic art-rock band that combines elements of rock, prog-rock, folk, and pop. Formed in 2002, the band features Hannah Miller (cello/vocals/guitar), Oliver Austin (drums/guitar/synths), Jules Arthur (synths/viola), and Mikey Simmonds (violin/viola/nyckelharpa).

Renowned for their breathtaking live shows and having shared the stage with John Paul Jones, David Gilmour, and Mick Jagger, it’s clear that few bands have the creative range and work ethic of Moulettes. With a brave approach to production and arrangement, Moulettes look for peculiar ways to combine acoustic and electric instruments.

Blending cello, violin, guitar, drums, bassoon, bass, brass and synth, songwriter Hannah Miller has created an otherworldly framework in which fantastical characters move between the realms of nature, magic, and science.

———————————————————————————-

The CKUA Events Calendar is a listing of music, arts, and culture happenings for the whole province. It is a terrific resource that CKUA offers to the community, to share details about concerts, gallery openings, plays, and films.

Please note that due to the amount of listings, we publish events that focus on music, arts, or culture. While we'd love to publish all submitted items, the sheer number of events means that we sometimes have to decline submissions.

Need to change or update your submitted event?

Email details to feedback@ckua.com and the CKUA team of calendar volunteers will do the rest.
