Molly Johnson

Thursday, June 26th
JazzYYC & NMC Present: MOLLY JOHNSON

JazzYYC and the National Music Centre are proud to welcome one of Canada’s most iconic voices to Studio Bell. Experience the incomparable Molly Johnson, a celebrated jazz vocalist whose rich, soulful tone and magnetic stage presence have captivated audiences across Canada and Europe for decades.

Molly’s career is defined not only by her extraordinary artistry but by her deep commitment to community and culture. A two-time JUNO Award winner and recipient of the Governor General’s Performing Arts Award, Molly is also an Officer of the Order of Canada and a Chevalier of France’s Ordre des Arts et des Lettres.

Beyond the stage, she is a passionate philanthropist and arts advocate. Her groundbreaking Kumbaya Festival raised millions for Canadians living with AIDS, and as founder of the Kensington Market Jazz Festival, she continues to champion the next generation of artists.

Join us for an unforgettable evening as Molly Johnson brings her signature blend of timeless jazz standards and heartfelt originals to Calgary.

———————————————————————————-

The CKUA Events Calendar is a listing of music, arts, and culture happenings for the whole province. It is a terrific resource that CKUA offers to the community, to share details about concerts, gallery openings, plays, and films.

Please note that due to the amount of listings, we publish events that focus on music, arts, or culture. While we'd love to publish all submitted items, the sheer number of events means that we sometimes have to decline submissions.

Need to change or update your submitted event?

Email details to feedback@ckua.com and the CKUA team of calendar volunteers will do the rest.
