MJ de Waal

MJ sings with Rod Schmidt on piano for an evening of mostly love songs – some from top jazz masters who created standard tunes, such as McCoy Tyner’s “You Taught My Heart to Sing”, Gerry Mulligan’s “The Real Thing” and Benny Carter’s “My Kind of Trouble is You”. As well, MJ will perform songs from her YYC Music Award-nominated CD “Sophisticated Lady” with a few show tunes and standards included that reflect the universal theme – seeking, losing, or experiencing love.
