Misery Mountain Boys

Saturday November 18, 7:00 p.m.

Opening Act: Doctor Lar Bar – Larry Steinbrenner

Tickets: $40 / $35 members / $10 students

From the hills of Northern Alberta, the Misery Mountain Boys bring you tunes you might hear coming from a 1930’s speakeasy. Harkening back to a simpler time, the MMB’s create a collaborative soundscape infused with tongue in cheek wit, playfulness, and nostalgia. With a mix of catchy originals and contemporary songs reimagined in driving swing, the band’s performance delivers as both classic and fresh, offering a generous variety of sweaty jazz numbers, velvety love songs, and swinging jump-blues.

———————————————————————————-

The CKUA Events Calendar is a listing of music, arts, and culture happenings for the whole province. It is a terrific resource that CKUA offers to the community, to share details about concerts, gallery openings, plays, and films.

Please note that due to the amount of listings, we publish events that focus on music, arts, or culture. While we'd love to publish all submitted items, the sheer number of events means that we sometimes have to decline submissions.

Need to change or update your submitted event?

Email details to feedback@ckua.com and the CKUA team of calendar volunteers will do the rest.
