Midnite Gossip & Vanden Dool

Saturday, August 17th

It’s a night of playful synth pop and audio/visual spectacle!

With their self-described “pretty but gritty” style, Midnite Gossip distinguishes themselves by meticulously crafting every aspect of their songs. Nicky, a singer, songwriter, and producer, brings her multifaceted musical abilities to the table, while Mickey’s expertise as a drummer, producer, composer, and visual artist adds a unique dimension to their creative endeavours.

Vanden Dool is the product of many things: a formal musical background, a love for electronic and alternative bands, the aching impatience of growing up in a small city, and a defiance against the rural-minded Albertan landscape. Each song reflects all of these things and more with sweeping synthetic sounds, catchy choruses and relentlessly melancholic lyrics.

All Ages! $10!

———————————————————————————-

The CKUA Events Calendar is a listing of music, arts, and culture happenings for the whole province. It is a terrific resource that CKUA offers to the community, to share details about concerts, gallery openings, plays, and films.

Please note that due to the amount of listings, we publish events that focus on music, arts, or culture. While we'd love to publish all submitted items, the sheer number of events means that we sometimes have to decline submissions.

Need to change or update your submitted event?

Email details to feedback@ckua.com and the CKUA team of calendar volunteers will do the rest.
