Michelle Gregoire Trio

Michelle Grégoire Trio – Late Night at the Sandman

A mainstay on the Canadian jazz scene, Michelle Grégoire brings decades of experience, compositional brilliance, and a refined touch to the Late Night Jazz Jam. Originally from Winnipeg and now based in Calgary, the pianist, composer, and arranger is renowned for her elegant phrasing, rich harmonic language, and intuitive ensemble interplay. As a composer and arranger for the Winnipeg Jazz Orchestra, Grégoire has also worked with jazz luminaries such as Maria Schneider, Bob Brookmeyer, and Kenny Wheeler. With formal studies at St. Francis Xavier University and Florida State University, her performances are defined by emotional depth and technical mastery, blending influences from jazz, classical, and contemporary music. Whether leading a trio or inspiring a room full of jammers, she brings music to life with heart, clarity, and sophistication.

Jammers welcome – free admission for those ready to play.

———————————————————————————-

The CKUA Events Calendar is a listing of music, arts, and culture happenings for the whole province. It is a terrific resource that CKUA offers to the community, to share details about concerts, gallery openings, plays, and films.

Please note that due to the amount of listings, we publish events that focus on music, arts, or culture. While we'd love to publish all submitted items, the sheer number of events means that we sometimes have to decline submissions.

Need to change or update your submitted event?

Email details to feedback@ckua.com and the CKUA team of calendar volunteers will do the rest.
