Mellow The Lion

Wednesday, September 17th

Hailing from the frozen north, Mellow the Lion plays songs to warm your bones. Forming in September 2020 after meeting at MacEwan University, the band has developed a distinct sound that delivers rich harmonies, meaningful lyrics and energetic live performances. Their debut album “All That Was & All That Is” released on October 4th, 2024.

Mellow the Lion has featured at various events around the province, such as U of A Week of Welcome 2024, as well as opening for Utah based alt-rock band: Krooked Kings in Calgary. Always keeping audiences on their toes, they draw listeners in with contemplative ballads, while also delivering show stopping energy in their live performances.

Having started as a small local project, Mellow the Lion is now setting their sights on delivering their unique sound to a wider audience. You can listen to “All That Was & All That Is” anywhere music is streamed.

———————————————————————————-

The CKUA Events Calendar is a listing of music, arts, and culture happenings for the whole province. It is a terrific resource that CKUA offers to the community, to share details about concerts, gallery openings, plays, and films.

Please note that due to the amount of listings, we publish events that focus on music, arts, or culture. While we'd love to publish all submitted items, the sheer number of events means that we sometimes have to decline submissions.

Need to change or update your submitted event?

Email details to feedback@ckua.com and the CKUA team of calendar volunteers will do the rest.
