Matt Masters

Matt Masters is best known as a Calgary-based country and western singer and songwriter. Since 1999, he’s performed over 2,500 concerts in 12 different countries, and released 7 albums. He first broke into the national consciousness in 2005 when his Alberta Centennial tour took him to 100 communities in 120 days performing a suite of Albertan written tunes. He’s been the house band for the Calgary Flames, performed at the Vancouver Olympics, and founded his own music festival at the former Olympic Plaza.

Despite a prolific career that’s spanned music, politics, playwriting, and entrepreneurship, Matt is ultimately a champion of live music and community-building, exemplified during the Covid years development of Curbside Concerts, a live music initiative that enabled musicians to continue performing, and has since evolved into a national live music booking agency.

An engaging and entertaining performer himself, we can’t wait to have him back on the Off Cut Bar stage!
