Marjorie Prime

Thursday, April 9th - Sunday, April 19th

Trunk Theatre presents Jordan Harrison’s Pulitzer Prize nominated play at April 9th-19th at the Varscona Theatre, with a cast of Sue Huff, Ben Kuchera, Troy O’Donnell and Maureen Rooney In the near future, assisted by innovative AI technology, a family explores their memories and what it is to be human when technology knows us better than we know ourselves. Marjorie’s new support companion from Senior Security is Walter Prime, an AI version of her deceased husband. Her daughter is unsettled and suspicious of the replacement. Jordan Harrison was a writer-producer for Orange is the New Black,.
“Harrison’s play has all the hallmarks of the best science fiction; it’s clever in conceit, alive with humour, surprising in its turns, terribly haunting by the time the lights go out.” Rollo Romig, New Yorker

Tickets are available at the door or through www.varsconatheatre.com Pay what you wish on April 9th & 15th.

———————————————————————————-

The CKUA Events Calendar is a listing of music, arts, and culture happenings for the whole province. It is a terrific resource that CKUA offers to the community, to share details about concerts, gallery openings, plays, and films.

Please note that due to the amount of listings, we publish events that focus on music, arts, or culture. While we'd love to publish all submitted items, the sheer number of events means that we sometimes have to decline submissions.

Need to change or update your submitted event?

Email details to feedback@ckua.com and the CKUA team of calendar volunteers will do the rest.
