Major Love @ ‘Live, Laugh, Major Love’ Album Release at the Varscona Theatre
Thu, May 16 @ 7:30PM ‘Live, Laugh, Major Love’ Album Release at the Varscona Theatre, Edmonton, AB
Live, Laugh, Major Love Album Release – Live! At the Varscona Theatre

Doors open 6:30PM / Music at 7:30PM

MAJOR LOVE is the moniker of songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Colleen Brown – and a collaboration featuring Alberta rock darlings Scenic Route To Alaska. Together, they make soulful folk-rock music for their hoser friends.

2024 sees Major Love returning with the cheeky sophomore full-length ‘Live, Laugh, Major Love’ with distribution through Slow Weather (The Orchard).
Recorded at the National Music Centre’s Studio Bell in Calgary, Alberta – with of slew of Randy Bachman’s borrowed guitars on hand – the new album showcases a live band in lockstep, with chemistry to spare.
Produced by Marcus Paquin (The National, Julia Jacklin, The Weather Station, Mariel Buckley) these songs thrive at the intersection between Brown’s resonant vocal expression and SRTA’s spirited swagger…music to move body and soul.

The CKUA Events Calendar is a listing of music, arts, and culture happenings for the whole province. It is a terrific resource that CKUA offers to the community, to share details about concerts, gallery openings, plays, and films.

Please note that due to the amount of listings, we publish events that focus on music, arts, or culture. While we'd love to publish all submitted items, the sheer number of events means that we sometimes have to decline submissions.

Need to change or update your submitted event?

Email details to feedback@ckua.com and the CKUA team of calendar volunteers will do the rest.
