Luciane Cardassi and Nathaniel Sutton – Now Hear This Festival 2024

Friday, June 7th

Join us for a compellingly unexpected, yet beautifully complementary double bill. Nathaniel Sutton’s practice is derived from manipulating cassettes and cassette players, and will fill the gorgeous acoustics of Muttart Hall into an unbelievably rich, hypnotic sonic environment full of beautifully warm and warbly tones. Partnered on this bill is acclaimed pianist Luciane Cardassi. Winner of numerous prizes and awards from all over the world, Luciane Cardassi will be presenting a breathtakingly meditative recital of new compositions taking the piano to deep, unexpected places. Included on the program are pieces by Diana Taylor and Emilie LeBel, whose work will include an astonishing, nuanced array of live electronics.
Tickets $20/$25 at Eventbrite.

———————————————————————————-

The CKUA Events Calendar is a listing of music, arts, and culture happenings for the whole province. It is a terrific resource that CKUA offers to the community, to share details about concerts, gallery openings, plays, and films.

Please note that due to the amount of listings, we publish events that focus on music, arts, or culture. While we'd love to publish all submitted items, the sheer number of events means that we sometimes have to decline submissions.

Need to change or update your submitted event?

Email details to feedback@ckua.com and the CKUA team of calendar volunteers will do the rest.
