Love Rocks

You will be blown away with this performance by Complexions Contemporary Ballet, which represents one of the most recognized, diverse, inclusive and respected performing arts brands in the world. Alberta Ballet is thrilled to welcome Complexions to its 2022/23 season.

Love Rocks will be presented through two incredible acts that will feature some of today’s most celebrated musicians with dance performances that examine our world today.

WOKE, which Complexions premiered in 2019, is a physical reaction to daily news. As you watch dancers perform WOKE, you will be entertained with music by Kendrick Lamar, Logic, Drake, Diplo and others. This bold and dynamic one-act ballet will allow you to experience Complexions’ full set of dancers, who will take you on a journey that examines our humanity in conjunction with today’s political climate.

The second act, LOVE ROCKS, will have you singing along to the music of Grammy Award winner Lenny Kravitz.

Love Rocks is in Calgary February 16 – 18.
