Liminal: Solo Art Exhibition for Jim Macgregor

Saturday, October 19th

Liminal, solo art exhibition by Jim Macgregor.

The show runs from Oct 19 – Nov 9

Opening reception: Saturday, Oct 19: 7-9pm
Artist in Attendance: Sunday, Oct 20: 12-2pm

Highlights from opening Reception: DJ, Crafted Gelato & ADDCoffee will be offering a collaborative signature dessert for purchase, Bay 1 cash bar with craft brews from Alley Kat & Garage Kombucha.

This collection is a series that Jim Macgregor has been working on for the past year. “Liminal” is a term that describes the transitional space between who you once were, and who you are becoming: on the threshold of significant change.

This show will invite you to explore the in-between—the thresholds where certainty fades and possibility emerges. It is not merely about observing art but about experiencing the nuanced emotions and concepts that arise when we find ourselves suspended between what was and what could be, inspiring a deeper understanding of the transient moments that shape our lives. It aims to encourage reflection on our own experiences of transition and transformation.

Jim Macgregor is an abstract artist creating with a colour palette that is intricate, yet quiet and calm, reflective of his introspective, gentle, curious personality. He is a minimalist abstract artist. Artist will be present at both opening events.

———————————————————————————-

The CKUA Events Calendar is a listing of music, arts, and culture happenings for the whole province. It is a terrific resource that CKUA offers to the community, to share details about concerts, gallery openings, plays, and films.

Please note that due to the amount of listings, we publish events that focus on music, arts, or culture. While we'd love to publish all submitted items, the sheer number of events means that we sometimes have to decline submissions.

Need to change or update your submitted event?

Email details to feedback@ckua.com and the CKUA team of calendar volunteers will do the rest.
