Legacy Christmas Light Parade

Experience the magic of the holidays with your family in Legacy’s winter wonderland.

It’s the most wonderful time of the year, and the community of Legacy is preparing to end 2023 on a bright note.

Legacy will light up the south end of the city with their Christmas light display, featuring more than a million Christmas lights, making it one of Calgary’s largest free light displays.

Festive lights will adorn parks and playgrounds, trees, show homes, design features like the Legacy clock tower, and more, in addition to hundreds of beautifully decorated private homes throughout the community.

Calgarians are invited to enjoy driving or walking through the community to experience this magical display and soak in the holiday spirit with family and friends. Drive through the community, tour a decorated show home or bundle up and take a walk along the many lit-up streets, parks and through tunnels of lights.

Starting on December 15 (weather permitting), guests from across the city can also access two public skating rinks in the community, a full sized hockey rink complete with regulation boards, and a second rink for leisure skaters. Both rinks will be maintained by the community throughout the winter.
