Lady Flower Gardens Fall Fundraiser

Saturday, September 7th

Lady Flower Gardens is a non-for-profit that provides experiential learning opportunities on agricultural land to agencies that serve Edmonton’s disadvantaged citizens. At Lady Flower Gardens we work with individuals who struggle with mental health and addictions, with the goal of creating an environment where these folks can feel empowered, build community, and learn tangible skills. Throughout the season, we work together to tend to our 1-acre garden, which produces fresh vegetables for both the garden program participants and Edmonton’s Food Bank.

Every year we host a Fall Festival where all festival proceeds go directly back to LFG operations. This is our largest fundraising event of the year, and it ensures we can continue to provide experiential learning and sanctuary for those who need it most. The festival features live performances from local artists, an artisan market and silent auction, food and drink freshly prepared with ingredients from our garden, kids activities, and more!

Performing at the 2024 Fall Festival are Curt Young; Jed and the Valentine; Mikayla Bortscher; New Age Street Preach; The Western Thistles; and Braden Gates.

———————————————————————————-

The CKUA Events Calendar is a listing of music, arts, and culture happenings for the whole province. It is a terrific resource that CKUA offers to the community, to share details about concerts, gallery openings, plays, and films.

Please note that due to the amount of listings, we publish events that focus on music, arts, or culture. While we’d love to publish all submitted items, the sheer number of events means that we sometimes have to decline submissions.

Need to change or update your submitted event?

Email details to feedback@ckua.com and the CKUA team of calendar volunteers will do the rest.
