Kokopelli hosts supercalifragilisticexpialadocious sing-along

As choir fundraisers go, this one promises to be “practically perfect in every way.”

Sunday, March 12 at 2:00 pm, Kokopelli choirs take over Metro Cinema in the Garneau Theatre (8712 109 St NW) to host a full-throated sing-along screening of the 1964 Disney classic Mary Poppins. Whether you’re a lifelong fan or a youngster experiencing the film for the first time, you couldn’t imagine a more delightful way to spend a spring afternoon at the movies.

Mary Poppins is packed wall-to-wall with timeless tunes by legendary Disney songwriters Robert and Richard Sherman—“A Spoonful of Sugar,” “Chim Chim Che-ree,” “Let’s Go Fly a Kite” and many others. Along with the film itself, the event will feature audience costumes, live music, prizes, and some surprise festivities.
