Justice for Samuel Bird: A Healing Concert

Saturday, November 1st

The Bird & Potts family has been tirelessly searching for 14 year old Samuel Bird since June 1, 2025. As you may be aware Edmonton City Police have determined Samuels disappearance as suspicious and the result of foul play. It is believed that Samuel was a victim of a violent death. The family have coordinated searches across Edmonton, the River Valley, and the banks of the North Saskatchewan River and have begun their search efforts West of Edmonton yet closure remains elusive as they continue their efforts.

To help raise funds for the continued coordinated search effort, we are hosting this oncert. Please see details below:

$50 + $9.50 Fee = $59.50 per ticket. Tickets available now at:

“Break the Chain” officially launches at this powerful benefit concert for Samuel Bird and his family. The song speaks to breaking cycles of generational trauma, addiction, and loss that continue to affect Indigenous and non-Indigenous communities alike. Written and performed by GEN7Path artists, it’s a call to heal, to reclaim strength, and to guide the next generation toward hope. Rooted in truth, love, and unity, “Break the Chain” reminds us that we can overcome pain together. This event marks not just a song release—but a collective movement toward healing, justice, and the restoration of spirit across our nations.

———————————————————————————-

The CKUA Events Calendar is a listing of music, arts, and culture happenings for the whole province. It is a terrific resource that CKUA offers to the community, to share details about concerts, gallery openings, plays, and films.

Please note that due to the amount of listings, we publish events that focus on music, arts, or culture. While we'd love to publish all submitted items, the sheer number of events means that we sometimes have to decline submissions.

Need to change or update your submitted event?

Email details to feedback@ckua.com and the CKUA team of calendar volunteers will do the rest.
