Join ELOPE Musical Theatre in celebrating their 40th anniversary of creating outstanding local musical theatre productions, with their presentation of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat from June 16-24 at the Westbury Theatre, Fringe Theatre Arts Barns, 10030 84 Avenue NW.

Presented by ELOPE, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat is the musical that launched the Rice-Lloyd Webber collaboration, becoming a multi-award-winning show performed in over 80 countries and recognized as one of the world’s most beloved family musicals. It features many songs that have gone on to become pop and musical theatre classics, including Any Dream Will Do, Close Every Door To Me, There’s One More Angel In Heaven and Go, Go, Go Joseph.

The story of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat is a tale that follows the journey of a dreamer. Joseph is the son of Jacob and one of twelve brothers. He is given a coat of many colors by his father, which is symbolic of his favor and an object of his brothers’ jealousy. The brothers decide to sell Joseph into slavery after initially plotting to have him killed. Convincing their father that his favorite son has died, they reveal his tattered coat and believe that they are rid of him once and for all.
