Jordan Rody’s Then and Now Release Concert

Saturday, October 11th

Local Leduc Talent – Jordan Rody is a dynamic accordionist and bandleader known for delivering high-energy and authenticity to polka. With a passion for preserving tradition while keeping the music fresh and engaging, he has become a respected name in the polka scene, performing across Canada and the United States.

Then & Now is more than just a CD release – it’s a heartfelt tribute to family, tradition, and the timeless power of music. Award-winning accordionist Jordan Rody brings the legacy of his grandfather, Mike Kushneryk, to life with fresh recordings of original compositions, classic polka’s and waltz’s, performed by an all-star band of Western Canadian musicians.

Through stories, vintage photos, and toe-tapping tunes, this one-night-only event blends emotional moments with high-energy fun. Then & Now is a celebration of old-time tunes, family history, and shared joy of music that brings generations together – with a few surprises along the way.

———————————————————————————-

The CKUA Events Calendar is a listing of music, arts, and culture happenings for the whole province. It is a terrific resource that CKUA offers to the community, to share details about concerts, gallery openings, plays, and films.

Please note that due to the amount of listings, we publish events that focus on music, arts, or culture. While we'd love to publish all submitted items, the sheer number of events means that we sometimes have to decline submissions.

Need to change or update your submitted event?

Email details to feedback@ckua.com and the CKUA team of calendar volunteers will do the rest.
