Joanne Kormylo Book Launch

Saturday, September 13th

Tap Town Books has been invited to chat with Calgary author Joanne Kormylo about her historical fiction debut The Resistance Daughter. An incredible, beautifully written, can’t-put-down book, The Resistance Daughter is inspired by true stories based on the experiences of her father who was a WWII pilot and POW. Taken from extensive research Joanne conducted with veterans, reviewing her father’s wartime log, and travelling to the UK, Poland, and Germany, the book encapsulates many incidents experienced by Joanne’s father and other Bomber Command pilots and prisoners of war.

The Museum is open from 6:30 to 9:30 pm and includes a planned engine run (weather permitting) at 9 pm.

The book presentation with Tap Town Books and Joanne will take place in the Joe English Room at the Bomber Command Museum on Hwy 2 south in Nanton.

———————————————————————————-

The CKUA Events Calendar is a listing of music, arts, and culture happenings for the whole province. It is a terrific resource that CKUA offers to the community, to share details about concerts, gallery openings, plays, and films.

Please note that due to the amount of listings, we publish events that focus on music, arts, or culture. While we'd love to publish all submitted items, the sheer number of events means that we sometimes have to decline submissions.

Need to change or update your submitted event?

Email details to feedback@ckua.com and the CKUA team of calendar volunteers will do the rest.
