Flute and Drum under the Sunset

Canadian Chinese flutist Jiajia Li, recipient of the 2019 Stingray Classical Artist in Residency at the National Music Centre and a nominee for both the 2025 JUNO Awards and 2026 Canadian Folk Music Awards, is recognized as one of Calgary’s most adventurous and dynamic musicians. Blending performance, improvisation, and composition across genres, she has appeared with the Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra while leading innovative projects including Gai Lan Ensemble, Ginger Beef, Who Cares, and Calgaréal.
