Jeffery Straker

Friday, April 2nd

Jeffery Straker is a prairie-born, classically trained pianist and singer-songwriter whose rootsy, storytelling songs have a way of carrying listeners out onto a northern lake or down the main street of a small Saskatchewan town. With energetic, piano-driven folk/roots tunes, clever lyrics, and warm, conversational stage banter, he’s drawn comparisons to the likes of Billy Joel, Kris Kristofferson, and Harry Chapin while touring 100+ shows a year across Canada, Europe, Latin America, and beyond. A multiple Saskatchewan Music Award “Roots/Folk Artist of the Year” and Western Canadian Music Award winner whose songs have appeared on CBC and in film and theatre, Straker brings a heartfelt, big-sky piano show to New Moon Folk Club that feels both cinematic and beautifully down-to-earth.

———————————————————————————-

The CKUA Events Calendar is a listing of music, arts, and culture happenings for the whole province. It is a terrific resource that CKUA offers to the community, to share details about concerts, gallery openings, plays, and films.

Please note that due to the amount of listings, we publish events that focus on music, arts, or culture. While we'd love to publish all submitted items, the sheer number of events means that we sometimes have to decline submissions.

Need to change or update your submitted event?

Email details to feedback@ckua.com and the CKUA team of calendar volunteers will do the rest.
