Jed and the Valentine is a powerhouse indie-folk and roots duo from Edmonton, Alberta, consisting of partners Jonah Morris and Maria Khaner. They are known for their warm, soulful harmonies, earthy roots and prairie folk sound inspired by Western Canadian landscapes and featured on their albums Awake! and In Like a Lion, Out Like a Lamb. The Edmonton Folk Festival praises them for their “haunting harmonies and gentle guitar strumming; the vibe is full-on fresh lemonade.” Word is they have quickly risen to become one of Canada’s most exciting new acts. It will be a great afternoon of music, food and community.
