Janzen Boys

Saturday, May 3rd
The Lethbridge Folk Club presents the Janzen Boys from Winnipeg, Manitoba.
Join our event on May 3rd, 2025, at the Army Navy Air Force Veterans Club as we close our season with the Janzen Boys, Openers Reid and Writes at what will be a fantastic concert.
The Janzen Boys are a rootsy, harmony-singing family trio from Winnipeg who started busking around Winnipeg. Soon, they were performing at festivals around the country. Their blood harmonies, traditional songs, and catchy originals have garnered a broad audience.
The Janzen Boys have been playing music together since the very beginning, but it started as “The Janzen Boys” shortly after they moved back to Canada from Japan in 2012. They’re a rootsy, harmony-singing folk trio from Winnipeg, Manitoba, consisting of brothers Simon and Mick, and Father JJ. Whether they’re playing at music festivals, theatres, venues, or intimate house concerts, they’ll have you laughing,
crying, and singing along to classics you know and love, and catchy original tunes that’ll be stuck in your head for days!
Reid & Writes is a Lethbridge-based group of seasoned musicians who play original songs along with tasty covers. Their music is heartfelt, melodic, rhythmic, and dynamic. Various styles make each song unique. Lyrics drawn from personal experience and Alberta landscapes convey universal themes.
Join us on May 3rd for some great music.

———————————————————————————-

The CKUA Events Calendar is a listing of music, arts, and culture happenings for the whole province. It is a terrific resource that CKUA offers to the community, to share details about concerts, gallery openings, plays, and films.

Please note that due to the amount of listings, we publish events that focus on music, arts, or culture. While we'd love to publish all submitted items, the sheer number of events means that we sometimes have to decline submissions.

Need to change or update your submitted event?

Email details to feedback@ckua.com and the CKUA team of calendar volunteers will do the rest.
