Jacob Rose

Thursday, September 25th

Jacob Rose, an earthy soulful singer-songwriter, blends the rugged spirit of Alberta with the coastal charm of New Brunswick. Brimming with heartfelt hope, melancholy, and grit, his warm demeanor and powerful voice are enticing and welcoming. His music, formed by both rural and urban landscapes, captivates with its unforgettable melodies and raw folk essence.

Jacob has shared the stage with Sam Roberts Band, Leeroy Stagger, and more, showcasing his talent and earning his place in the spotlight. He has released two EPs as of 2024. His song ‘Marco Polo’ was nominated for best folk and best country song at the 2016 YYC Music Awards. Wharfbound (Jacob’s Version) was released on July 2024 and has garnered a strong local following and plays on CBC Radio.

Jacob is recording his debut album. The first single ‘Hold Your Head Up’ produced/co-written with Chris Kirby (Matt Andersen, Quote the Raven) releases Spring 2025.

———————————————————————————-

The CKUA Events Calendar is a listing of music, arts, and culture happenings for the whole province. It is a terrific resource that CKUA offers to the community, to share details about concerts, gallery openings, plays, and films.

Please note that due to the amount of listings, we publish events that focus on music, arts, or culture. While we'd love to publish all submitted items, the sheer number of events means that we sometimes have to decline submissions.

Need to change or update your submitted event?

Email details to feedback@ckua.com and the CKUA team of calendar volunteers will do the rest.
