Jacob Rose

Monday, September 29th

Jacob Rose returns for his first run of shows in his home province since 2019. Join us for a show that’s thoughtful, folky, and full of soul—songs where melancholy meets meaning and you’ll want to linger long after the last note.

Alberta-born, New Brunswick-based folk-rock artist Jacob Rose announces the release of his new single “Hold Your Head Up,” available on all streaming platforms April 25, 2025. The powerful track, co-written with award-winning songwriter Chris Kirby, explores themes of steadfastness and enduring love through life’s challenges.
“Hold Your Head Up” showcases Rose’s signature “earthy soulful alternative folk” sound while delivering a message of resilience and commitment.

Jacob Rose continues to build on the momentum of his July 2024 release “Wharfbound (Jacob’s Version),” which has seen increasing popularity and prominent Spotify playlist placements. His discography also includes the 2020 release “Can’t Hold It All” and his 2015 debut EP “Last Another Day,” which featured the YYC Music Awards-nominated track “Marco Polo.”

———————————————————————————-

The CKUA Events Calendar is a listing of music, arts, and culture happenings for the whole province. It is a terrific resource that CKUA offers to the community, to share details about concerts, gallery openings, plays, and films.

Please note that due to the amount of listings, we publish events that focus on music, arts, or culture. While we'd love to publish all submitted items, the sheer number of events means that we sometimes have to decline submissions.

Need to change or update your submitted event?

Email details to feedback@ckua.com and the CKUA team of calendar volunteers will do the rest.
