Indigenous Days at Banff Sunshine Village

Friday, August 30th - Sunday, September 1st

Brown Bear Events will be at Banff Sunshine Village for Indigenous Days on the weekend of August 30th to September 1st. This special event will celebrate the vibrant culture of the Tsuut’ina Nation through a variety of engaging activities.

Join us to learn more about Tsuut’ina culture through Tipi demonstrations, traditional dances, arts and crafts workshops, and storytelling sessions. Brown Bear Events will be on hand throughout the village to share the rich history and traditions of the land.

Indigenous Days activities are included with a valid gondola pass.

At Banff Sunshine Village, we respectfully acknowledge that Banff National Park is situated within the traditional and ancestral territory of the Stoney Nakoda First Nation, Tsuut’ina Nation, and the Blackfoot Confederacy: Kainai, Piikani, and Siksika. We also recognize the Treaties 6, 7, & 8 and the Métis peoples who reside in Alberta. Historically, the lands and waters of Banff National Park have been used by Indigenous peoples for sustenance, ceremony, travel, and trade.

———————————————————————————-

The CKUA Events Calendar is a listing of music, arts, and culture happenings for the whole province. It is a terrific resource that CKUA offers to the community, to share details about concerts, gallery openings, plays, and films.

Please note that due to the amount of listings, we publish events that focus on music, arts, or culture. While we’d love to publish all submitted items, the sheer number of events means that we sometimes have to decline submissions.

Need to change or update your submitted event?

Email details to feedback@ckua.com and the CKUA team of calendar volunteers will do the rest.
