Hutch Jazz Quartet

Wednesday, September 24th

Parkdale Wednesday Night Jazz features the Hutch Jazz Quartet on September 24. With his unique phrasing, voice and understated and care-free delivery, YYC Music Awards Nominee Jim Hutchison (Jazz Hutch) is a distinctively smooth and swinging interpreter of the many moods found in the jazz standard song book, whether it be swing, Latin or expressive ballads. He is one of the busiest jazz vocalists in Calgary, having formed Jim Hutchison Jazz Works, a six piece little big band fifteen years ago. Prior to forming Jazz Works Jim studied classical voice and was a chorister with the Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra and Calgary Opera. Join us on September 24 to hear the Hutch Jazz Quartet. Parkdale United Church, 2919-8 Ave NW, Calgary. Open seating. Free Will Offering, suggested $20 cash per person.

———————————————————————————-

The CKUA Events Calendar is a listing of music, arts, and culture happenings for the whole province. It is a terrific resource that CKUA offers to the community, to share details about concerts, gallery openings, plays, and films.

Please note that due to the amount of listings, we publish events that focus on music, arts, or culture. While we'd love to publish all submitted items, the sheer number of events means that we sometimes have to decline submissions.

Need to change or update your submitted event?

Email details to feedback@ckua.com and the CKUA team of calendar volunteers will do the rest.
