Hi-Light Festival 2025

Wednesday, April 9th - Sunday, April 13th

Hi-Light Music Festival is back for its third year, bringing Edmonton’s vibrant DIY music scene to the forefront. Founded by Elissa Wells/Get Us Together Music and Dexter Twardzik, Hi-Light is a celebration of independent music and the passionate community that powers it. After two years of overwhelming support and positive feedback, the message is clear: Edmonton loves its local arts and Hi-light has become an integral part of the arts community—carving out a unique space to amplify the immense talent in our own backyard.

This year, Hi-Light is leveling up with a diverse and dynamic lineup that spans multiple genres and spotlights the amazing variety of talent in our scene. Headliners include: Edmonton’s own Jordyn Rayne, Silkr0ad, Open Eyes, Jacquie Daniels and the Blank Slates, You, Me & Zach and Misplaced Intentions. We’re also thrilled to welcome Cupid’s Heart from Saskatchewan, The Definitive, SHY FRiEND and Terrible People from Calgary, Leon’s Getting Larger from Winnipeg, and The Smelters from Rossland to the Hi-Light family.

A key part of our mission is to “Hi-Light” the venues that champion local music. This year’s festival will take place across some of the city’s most beloved stages:

Blakbar (Whyte Ave) – Wednesday, April 9th
The Dive Bar (Downtown) – Thursday, April 10 (our first time at this venue!)
The Aviary (Downtown) – Friday, April 11th & Saturday, April 12 (All-Ages Shows)
The Buckingham (Whyte Ave) – Sunday, April 13
