Heartstrings and Honky Tonks

Dust off your boots and join us for a legendary salute to the beloved country song as Heartstrings & Honky Tonks returns to Calgary.

Presented by National Music Centre and Craig Senyk Initiatives, this show will bring the magic of music city home to Alberta with intimate songwriters’ rounds featuring Lisa Brokop, Brad Mates of Emerson Drive, Clayton Bellamy, Dan Davidson, and special guest Hayley Isabel.

This special matinee will be hosted by Canadian Country Music Hall of Fame member Jackie Rae Greening and broadcast LIVE all across Canada on 840 AM CFCW.

Your ticket includes General Admission to Studio Bell, home of the National Music Centre. Arrive early to explore Canada’s music story through five floors of music exhibitions!

The pre-show starts at 1:45 pm and the live radio broadcast starts at 2:00 pm sharp. To minimize disruption for the broadcast, we kindly ask everyone to be seated in the Performance Hall by 1:45 pm.

After inaugural sold out seasons in 2024 & 2025, the Heartstrings & Honky Tonks series returns in 2026 with another series of incredible shows that will allow both the artists and audience to be part of something truly special as the performances are broadcast live on 840 AM radio. These events will be hosted by CCMA Hall of Fame Member Jackie Rae and will take place in theaters in Sherwood Park, St. Albert, Camrose, Bonnyville, and Calgary Alberta as we continue to celebrate more than 70 years of CFCW radio.

This historic evening of live music will be set in a traditional Nashville style songwriters round, often also called a guitar pull. These sessions will feature incredible songwriters as they share their stories and take the audience on an emotional journey singing both songs they have written, performed the way they were originally intended, along with songs that hold a special place in their own heart. Once again award winning and platinum selling co-writers, and longtime friends Dan Davidson and Clayton Bellamy will lead most of these events as they bring their Nashville experiences north of the border.
