Hastings Lake Hootenanny

Saturday, July 5th

This is a grass roots mini-music festival on the shores of Hastings Lake, just 35 minutes from Edmonton. This year we are very excited to welcome Kim Churchill from Australia. Kim is returning to both the Canmore and Edmonton folk festivals this summer and this is a great opportunity to see him up close and personal in advance. His artistry, lyrics, musicianship and spirit are truly something to be experienced.

Supporting Kim is Edmonton’s own Scott Cook with Pamela Mae. Scott’s soothing baritone voice and harmonies with Pamela Mae brings to life thought provoking lyrics and story in a troubadour style.

Local musician Alex McKinnon will be kicking off the evening.

This event has a very laid back vibe with the best sunsets in the west!

———————————————————————————-

The CKUA Events Calendar is a listing of music, arts, and culture happenings for the whole province. It is a terrific resource that CKUA offers to the community, to share details about concerts, gallery openings, plays, and films.

Please note that due to the amount of listings, we publish events that focus on music, arts, or culture. While we'd love to publish all submitted items, the sheer number of events means that we sometimes have to decline submissions.

Need to change or update your submitted event?

Email details to feedback@ckua.com and the CKUA team of calendar volunteers will do the rest.
