Forever Young: Seniors’ Week

Join us for Forever Young: Seniors’ Week at Studio Bell, home of the National Music Centre, featuring interactive experiences for all ages that spark memories, inspire creativity, and create connections across generations.
Studio Bell admission is free for seniors (65+) every day from June 1-5, 2026 for Seniors’ Week. All ages are welcome to participate with the purchase of general admission.
June 1 — Forever Young: Feet to the Beat — 11:00 am
Get moving with Feet to the Beat, an energizing and joyful dance program designed for all levels of experience. Led by dance instructor Kym Butler, these sessions are welcoming, inclusive, and most importantly, fun!
June 2 — Forever Young: Instrument Petting Zoo — 11:00 am to 2:00 pm
Instrument Petting Zoo invites participants of all ages to feel like a kid again and explore a wide variety of musical instruments. Approach instruments with curiosity and playfulness as you try strings, percussion, winds, and more. No experience required. Drop-in from 11 am to 2 pm.
June 3 — Forever Young: Learn To Play the Ukulele — 11:00 am
If you’ve ever thought about learning an instrument but weren’t sure where to begin, this is the perfect place to start! Join us for a relaxed, beginner-friendly introduction to the ukulele led by musician and educator Evan Rothery. No prior experience is needed.
June 4 — Forever Young: Music Therapy with JB Music Therapy — 11:00 am
Explore how music can be used as a powerful tool for wellness and connection. Led by certified therapists from JB Music Therapy, participants are invited to experience music through listening, drumming, and singing.
June 5 — Forever Young: A Musical Trip Down Memory Lane with Cornelia Boucher Sutherland — 11:00 am
Celebrate Seniors’ Week with an uplifting musical experience led by acclaimed East Coast performer Cornelia Boucher Sutherland. Mixing “Golden Oldie” hits with folk favourites, Cornelia creates an engaging trip down memory lane for all audiences.
