Emilio De Mercato

In honour of Dante Alighieri, the “Supreme Poet”, and as a tribute to Italy, Emilio De Mercato will be performing Franz Liszt’s “Après une lecture du Dante”, and “Sonetto del Petrarca No. 104.” This transcendent diptych, closely relating to De Mercato’s Italian origins, is preceded by the treasured Kinderszenen by Robert Schumann, and followed by Modest Mussorgsky’s monumental Pictures at an Exhibition. This concert is presented by Freemasons Hall, and is a fundraiser to raise money to purchase and equip the Auditorium of a grand piano. The performance is part of Emilio De Mercato’s 2025 Piano Tour, leading up to his debut in New York at the Carnegie Hall in May.
