Edmonton Folks Album Release & CKUA Fundraiser

Friday, January 23rd

Celebrate Edmonton’s vibrant music community with the release of Edmonton Folks, a collaborative album featuring 20 Edmonton musicians coming together on one record. This special release event doubles as a fundraiser for CKUA, supporting the station that has long championed local and Canadian artists.

The evening will showcase 10 of the album’s contributors in a unique session-stage format, with two sets featuring five musicians on stage at a time. In a session stage, each artist performs an original song while the others join in where they can, creating spontaneous collaborations and one-of-a-kind performances you won’t hear anywhere else.

Featuring performances by:
Loud in the Pines, Halfway Home, Susan Isaac, Riwo, Mikayla Bortscher, Sir Kadian, Roya Camille, Sam Steffen, Jarred Albright, and Marten Borch.

Tickets
Tickets are pay what you can, with a suggested $30 per ticket. All proceeds support CKUA and help celebrate and sustain Edmonton’s local music community.

Join us for an intimate night of shared songs, community, and collaboration as we celebrate Edmonton Folks and support CKUA. This is more than an album release—it’s a snapshot of Edmonton’s music scene, brought to life on stage.

———————————————————————————-

The CKUA Events Calendar is a listing of music, arts, and culture happenings for the whole province. It is a terrific resource that CKUA offers to the community, to share details about concerts, gallery openings, plays, and films.

Please note that due to the amount of listings, we publish events that focus on music, arts, or culture. While we'd love to publish all submitted items, the sheer number of events means that we sometimes have to decline submissions.

Need to change or update your submitted event?

Email details to feedback@ckua.com and the CKUA team of calendar volunteers will do the rest.
