Drop-in Sketching – Small World of Seeds

Thursday, September 18th

Have you ever wished you could use a museum’s collections for sketching inspiration? Now’s your chance! The Royal Alberta Museum will be showcasing rarely seen museum objects to create a still-life setup for you to practice your drawing skills.

If you’ve been to RAM drop-in sketching before, this month is a little different. RAM is going to zoom up-close, to the small world of seeds and fruits. After all, plants grow all around us and play a crucial role for life on earth! Come and use RAM microscopes to sketch these tiny specimens. RAM will also be opening up their outdoor courtyard, filled with native plant species for you to explore and sketch (so remember to dress for the weather!).

———————————————————————————-

The CKUA Events Calendar is a listing of music, arts, and culture happenings for the whole province. It is a terrific resource that CKUA offers to the community, to share details about concerts, gallery openings, plays, and films.

Please note that due to the amount of listings, we publish events that focus on music, arts, or culture. While we'd love to publish all submitted items, the sheer number of events means that we sometimes have to decline submissions.

Need to change or update your submitted event?

Email details to feedback@ckua.com and the CKUA team of calendar volunteers will do the rest.
