Delvon Lamarr Organ Trio

Saturday, June 28th

Delvon Lamarr Organ Trio (DLO3) specialize in the lost art of “feel good music.” The ingredients of this intoxicating cocktail include a big helping of the 1960s organ jazz stylings of Jimmy Smith and Baby Face Willette; a pinch of the snappy soul strut of Booker T. & The M.G.’s and The Meters; and sprinkles Motown, Stax Records, blues, and cosmic Jimi Hendrix-style guitar. It’s a soul-jazz concoction that goes straight to your heart and head makes your body break out in a sweat. Live, the band’s fiery and intuitive chemistry is unstoppable, brimming with improvisation, instant composition, imaginative takes on classic tunes, and a booty-shaking back catalogue of soulful gems.

Experience the electrifying Delvon Lamarr Organ Trio (DLO3) live at our 2025 JazzYYC Summer Festival on Saturday, June 28, for two unforgettable shows at 8:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. Catch them in the intimate, high-energy setting of Mikey’s Juke Joint, where their signature blend of soul-jazz will have you grooving all night.

Tickets are $49.99 per show, with a special discounted price of $19.99 for attendees under 25. Want the full experience? Grab a special pass for both sets at just $84.99!

———————————————————————————-

The CKUA Events Calendar is a listing of music, arts, and culture happenings for the whole province. It is a terrific resource that CKUA offers to the community, to share details about concerts, gallery openings, plays, and films.

Please note that due to the amount of listings, we publish events that focus on music, arts, or culture. While we'd love to publish all submitted items, the sheer number of events means that we sometimes have to decline submissions.

Need to change or update your submitted event?

Email details to feedback@ckua.com and the CKUA team of calendar volunteers will do the rest.
