“Soothsayer’s Blues” marks the 7th Release for Alberta based Roots Songsmith Dave McCann. Produced By Jimbo Mathus (Elvis Costello, Buddy Guy, Ironing Board Sam, Bette Smith) at the Historic Zebra Ranch in Coldwater Mississippi—the home studio of the Late great Producer and Muscle Shoals session player Jim Dickinson (Aretha Franklin, The Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, Ry Cooder). The project is a powerful meditation on the enduring spirit of North American Roots Music and its origins within the mythology of the American South. Not Gospel, Not Blues, Not Country, Not Rock ‘n’ Roll, it echoes it all.
