Dancing Parkinson’s YYC Fall Session

Tuesday, October 1st

Since 2013 Dancing Parkinson’s YYC has offered a weekly dance class for people with Parkinson’s disease. With live musical accompaniment and a focus on rhythm, body awareness, muscle development, coordination and socializing, the DPYYC classes have proven to be an uplifting and restorative experience for participants.

No previous dance experience is required. Walkers, wheelchairs, canes and caregivers are welcome!

Classes are held on Tuesdays at 1:30pm – 2:30pm starting October 1, 2024. We offer hybrid classes where participants have the option to attend class in person at Decidedly Jazz Danceworks or virtually through Zoom. Participants will also have access to our recorded library of classes to take at home.

Participants can join at any time throughout the session.

The annual registration fee is $50 per person.

For more information please contact Julie at 403-228-8188 or email dancingparkinsonsyyc@decidedlyjazz.com.

———————————————————————————-

The CKUA Events Calendar is a listing of music, arts, and culture happenings for the whole province. It is a terrific resource that CKUA offers to the community, to share details about concerts, gallery openings, plays, and films.

Please note that due to the amount of listings, we publish events that focus on music, arts, or culture. While we’d love to publish all submitted items, the sheer number of events means that we sometimes have to decline submissions.

Need to change or update your submitted event?

Email details to feedback@ckua.com and the CKUA team of calendar volunteers will do the rest.
