Cultural Learning Circle: Stories Are In Our Bones

Join us for an evening of short films created by Indigenous filmmaker Janine Windolph and the Nakoda AV Club. Stay for a discussion with the artists to explore the themes of family, community, healing and connecting to the land.
Janine’s films share stories from her family, which confront the impacts of cultural disconnection as well as the love and healing that can be shared between generations. The Nakoda AV Club will be presenting recent films made by their members, including a new short documentary about women and the drum.

Space is very limited! – Please reserve your spot. If you can’t make it, please be sure to let us know well in advance so that we can offer your spot to someone on the waitlist.

———————————————————————————-

The CKUA Events Calendar is a listing of music, arts, and culture happenings for the whole province. It is a terrific resource that CKUA offers to the community, to share details about concerts, gallery openings, plays, and films.

Please note that due to the amount of listings, we publish events that focus on music, arts, or culture. While we'd love to publish all submitted items, the sheer number of events means that we sometimes have to decline submissions.

Need to change or update your submitted event?

Email details to feedback@ckua.com and the CKUA team of calendar volunteers will do the rest.
