Courage and Hope

Friday, March 14th - Saturday, March 15th

The Central Alberta Chamber Orchestra, is proud to present “Courage and Hope”, heartfelt concerts offering healing music for those affected by cancer.

The performances will take place on Friday March 14 at 7:00 pm at Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd, Red Deer and Saturday March 15 at 2:00 pm. These concerts will create a space for reflection, solace, and shared strength through the power of music. This special program will feature guest artist Dr. Joan Paddock, trumpet, as well as several Central Albertan Chamber Orchestra member artists and composers.

Works will include special compositions by Dr. James Bicigo-“Enigma for Sarah”, and Valerie Sherman-“Courage and Hope” and Scott Irvine’s “Shapeshifter”, all in honour of people who have travelled the cancer journey. Also featured will be Vivaldi’s “Concerto for Two Trumpets”, Morricone’s “Gabriel’s Oboe”, Mozart’s “Alleluia “, Elgar’s “Land of Hope and Glory”, and works by Leonard Cohen and Gloria Gaynor.

The program has been carefully curated to evoke hope and healing, featuring pieces that carry emotional depth and beauty.
