City Hall Players – Now Hear This Festival 2024

The City Hall atrium will come alive with a mind-blowing combination of sound and vision, as New Music Edmonton presents the world premiere of Will Northlich-Redmond’s Temple of Electryone. Collecting together a mass ensemble of roving, improvising saxophones, brasses and woodwinds, alongside stunning electronic soundscapes, and giant graphical scores, Temple of Electryone is a synaesthetic homage to the Greek goddess Electryone. Throughout the piece, Electryone’s mystique and heroic nature is highlighted by coordinating aural and visual elements into a subtly shifting and immersive multimedia experience. The performance will be led by the one and only Blipvert! Free event.
