Afrique En Cirque

Friday, October 24th

Cirque Kalabanté presents Afrique En Cirque

The Afrique En Cirque show symbolizes the strength, agility and joy of life found in African youth. A handful of daring acrobats, accompanied by musicians, perform to the pulsating rhythm of the djembes of Guinea with their authentic and original choreography and acrobatics. With the melodious sound of the Kora, Yamoussa Bangoura transports us to a place where the diversity of traditional African arts is illuminated and combined with the virtuosity of a modern North American Circus performance.

Kalabanté Productions was created by Yamoussa Bangoura, a multidisciplinary artist of Guinean origin. Yamoussa’s long term dream was founding a school of circus arts and directing his own multidisciplinary company, specializing in the African arts. As the company director, he develops his own shows that over the past several years have been gathering increasing attention and recognition both nationally and internationally and have been performed worldwide.

———————————————————————————-

The CKUA Events Calendar is a listing of music, arts, and culture happenings for the whole province. It is a terrific resource that CKUA offers to the community, to share details about concerts, gallery openings, plays, and films.

Please note that due to the amount of listings, we publish events that focus on music, arts, or culture. While we'd love to publish all submitted items, the sheer number of events means that we sometimes have to decline submissions.

Need to change or update your submitted event?

Email details to feedback@ckua.com and the CKUA team of calendar volunteers will do the rest.
